English language proficiency requirement – minimum level B2 prior to enrollment [DEAMS] | 2026/2027

In order to enroll in the degree programmes “International Economics and Financial Markets” and “Business Administration and Management”, limited to curricula taught entirely in English, students are required to demonstrate English language proficiency at a minimum level of B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Exemptions from English language proficiency verification

English language proficiency is considered fulfilled (and therefore no test is required) if you meet one of the following conditions:

    • you have completed upper secondary education (i.e. high school) or at least one year of college in an English-speaking country, provided that English was the language of instruction;
    • you have obtained a qualification (upper secondary school diploma or university degree), in Italy or abroad, following a programme fully taught in English;
    • you hold a language certificate listed among those recognised by AICLU (please refer to the official list).

Language proficiency test

If you do not meet any of the conditions above, you are required to sit the language proficiency test organised free of charge by the University Language Center. The test:

  • is held exclusively online;
  • may be taken only once.

If you do not pass the test, you will not be eligible to enrol unless you obtain an external language certification recognised in the AICLU list.

Deadlines and test sessions

The last available date to take the test is 9 September 2026, due to the suspension of activities for technical reasons.
If you complete pre-enrolment between 1 September 2026 and 2 October 2026, an extraordinary session will be scheduled in October 2026, with equivalent procedures. The detailed calendar will be published at a later date.

Information and test registration

All information regarding available dates, test procedures, and registration deadlines is published on the dedicated webpage. Access is granted exclusively through the temporary credentials issued following pre-enrolment. These credentials will be enabled for Moodle access only after payment of the first tuition fee installment.
